Horrible news from Novak Djokovic that is not fit to play in Beijing. The world no.1 has been struggling with his fitness for the entire summer, and he had now to announce his retirement from the China Open because of a problem with his elbow.

In an official communicate, Djokovic commented
“I am extremely disappointed not to be able to compete at the China Open this year. I’m still recovering from my elbow injury and have been advised not to play until my condition improves.
I will continue with my rehabilitation and hope to be able to return to the ATP Tour as soon as possible.”
Djokovic has won the China Open for six consecutive times, and he is the defending champion after he demolished Rafael Nadal in the final.
Murray and Nadal are still scheduled to play.
