Even if Novak Djokovic has a great record against Tomas Berdych (now 25-2), the world no.1 is well aware that it is not easy to beat the Czech.
Nole had to dig deep against Berdych in the Toronto quarters to save three consecutive set points in the first set breaker (3-6); Eventually, the world no.1 won 5 straight points to conquer the tiebreak at 6 (Berdych wasn’t happy with that). In the second set, Nole gained the decisive break in the 3rd game to win the encounter 7-6 (6) 6-4.
