It was unexpected but it happened, Karolina Pliskova got married to her agent Michal Hrdlicka in a secret wedding in Monte Carlo. 20 invitees witnessed the wedding. Both got engaged soon after the last Wimbledon when Pliskova became the new world no.1.
Who is MICHAL HRDLICKA
Hrdlicka has some interesting stories behind him. He was fired from his job as a TV presenter in the Czech Republic when he was found urinating on the road in 2016, he was seemingly drunk. Hrdlicka was also dating another girl while Karolina was playing Wimbledon, but he apologised for that and everything is on track now in his relationship with Pliskova.
Another sensational fact: Hrdlicka, now 29-year-old, had a baby 4 years ago from Lucie Borhyova. They split just a few months later of this. Apparently, Karolina doesn’t seem to care about all this and she truly thinks Hrdlicka to be her soul mate.
Both have dated for 3 years and plan for Pliskova is that she will have a few relaxing weeks then will be back for practice again the Rogers Cup in Toronto starting August 6.
On the playing front, Pliskova won the Stuttgart Open, which is the first big clay court event of the year.
