Fabio Fognini wins his 4th career title in Umag after a relatively easy week. The Italian dropped only 1 set in the tournament in the quarters against Damir Dzumhur (then he won 4-6 6-1 6-1).
It took just 68 minutes for Fognini to defeat the world no. 124 Andrej Martin in the final (6-4 6-1). The key moment was when Fabio broke Andrej when the match was on a 4-all scoreline. From that moment, Fabio won eight of the following seven games.

Fognini commented “I have to be happy. A title is always a title. It was a great week of tennis.”
This is the first title that Fognini won as a married man. Fabio got married last month with Flavia Pennetta.
