Albert Ramos-Vinolas has always been a great player. Unfortunately, the Spaniard hasn’t managed to win much till today. Probably his best moment on tour was when he upset Federer in Shanghai (2015). Today, Albert has finally managed to win his maiden title in Bastad after beating his compatriot Fernando Verdasco in the final 6-3 6-4.

After the match, Albert commented “I returned well when he kicked-served to my backhand in the deuce court. I think that was the key to the match. I played just one final before, in Casablanca four years ago, and sometimes I thought I would never have another chance to win a tournament. But I am playing good tennis this year and I am working hard. I will keep working to have other chances.”
