Kyrgios wins a spectacular 5 setter vs. Brown

We all knew that a match between Nick Kyrgios and Dustin Brown at Wimbledon would have been great, and they didn’t fall short of our expectations. Kyrgios won an entertaining five-setter 6-7 (3) 6-1 2-6 6-4 6-4.  The match was so fast that it went to the 5th set after only 1 hour and 50 minutes.

During the encounter, Nick had a heated talk with the umpire; in the press conference following the match, the Brown defended Kyrgios “I’m pretty sure everyone that knows Nick, knows Nick is a great tennis player,” he commented. “If certain things happen and there are a few bad calls, I mean, all of us have gotten upset on the court already for bad calls, especially in certain moments.

Next vs. Lopez

Nick will play Feliciano Lopez in the 3rd round. The Spaniard has beaten Fognini recovering from 2 sets down 3-6 6-7 (5) 6-3 6-3 6-3. The head to head between Kyrgios and Lopez is 2-0 for Feliciano that has never conceded a single set to the Australian.
