When Jannik Sinner defeated Novak Djokovic to win the Shanghai Masters and earn his seventh title of the year, Roger Federer and Carlos Alcaraz were seen sitting together in the stands.

Federer enjoyed the much-awaited match by having a conversation with Alcaraz and his coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, who was seated between him.

Sinner improved his record in tiebreakers this year to 24-8 by winning the opening set in a tiebreak. He proceeded to secure a 7-6(4), 6-3 victory by winning the second set with greater ease.

Sitting side by side, Federer and Alcaraz were noted engaging in conversation while observing Sinner’s commanding victory over Djokovic.

Tomas Machac, whom Sinner eventually defeated in the semifinals, had eliminated Alcaraz in the quarterfinals. Earlier in the event, Federer and Djokovic shared a touching moment after the Swiss legend had just finished playing an exhibition match in Shanghai.
