Kiki Bertens wins the title in Nurnberg straight from the qualifications. The Belgian had to play seven matches in 8 days to grab her 2nd career title. Kiki defeated world no.98 Maria Duque-Marino in the final 6-2 6-2.

Kiki commented “I think I played really well today – I was serving good and going for my shots. I had really good length to my shots and so she couldn’t do much from the baseline.”
Bertens will now go to Paris where she will play Angelique Kerber in the opener.
