Wozniacki will miss the French Open

Tough luck for Caroline Wozniacki that hasn’t recovered yet from an injury to her ankle. This is appalling news for the former world no.1 that is now ranked no.34, and she was eager to get some important results in this season after an awkward start.

Wozniacki has now a dismal 8-7 win-loss record; she will not lose many points for not playing in Paris because last year she lost in the second round to Julia Gorges.

After retiring from the Roland Garros, Caroline will miss a slam for the first time after she has played 36 consecutive majors since 2007.

Unfortunately, this year the Roland Garros will also miss Maria Sharapova and Belinda Bencic (sidelined by an injury to her back).
