Nick Kyrgios had a great performance in the Madrid 3rd round against clay court specialist Pablo Cuevas. Once again a critical success factor for Nick was his cool during a breaker; the Australian won the first set in the tiebreak after being extremely sharp when he was trailing on a 5-all scoreline in the tiebreak. After losing the second set, Kyrgios was in deep waters after being broken in the first game of the decider; eventually, Kyrgios broke back immediately to win the match 7-6 (5) 4-6 6-3.
