Federer retires from Madrid for Injury

Horrible news for Federer’s fans as the Swiss Maestro had to retire from the ATP1000 in Madrid because of injury to his back. Apparently Roger got this injury while training over the weekend.

The back injury is something that he has been struggling for long. Roger described it as “normal back things I’ve had in past.”

 

 

Federer may play in Rome
 

Then Roger added “I’d rather play it safe and get ready for Rome,” Federer commented. “If I can’t play Rome, it’s not the end of the world, but hopefully, I’ll get to play.”
