The #nextgen is coming strong. Alexander Zverev produced a remarkable upset in Munich after beating seed no.1 David Goffin in 3 sets. Sasha had a comfortable 1 set and one break-up lead, but eventually he had to grab this match only at the decider when he broke Goffin twice without conceding any service game.

Sasha will play an in-form Dominic Thiem in the semifinal. The Austrian had to battle hard in beating Dodig 6-4 4-6 6-3. “I’m really looking forward to [playing Thiem],” Zverev commented. “We spend a lot of time off the court together. It will be the first of many for us.”
