Murray not sure to play the Davis Cup

Andy Murray has been decisive for Great Britain to win the 2015 Davis Cup; the Scot has always been adamant of representing his country, but this time he is not sure about his involvement in the quarterfinal against Serbia. The tie will be played soon after Wimbledon on clay in Belgrade and since Andy is notoriously slow at adapting to the dirt, if he goes deep at the Championships, he may not play the Davis Cup.

Murray. I am not sure I will play

During a recent interview, Andy commented “The plan is to play, but it is going to be difficult. I need to play it a little bit by ear, as well, because I just don’t know how the body is going to respond.

Changing surfaces, almost on a weekly basis, does increase the chance of injury significantly: not many players would go from playing a grass court tournament one week straight onto the clay the following week with only a couple of days preparation time.”

NOT THIS TIME?
