Bouchard retires from Charleston

Genie Bouchard is struggling to recover. During the last few months the Canadian no.1 has been sidelined by all sorts of injuries and now Genie has also to withdraw from Charleston because of an abdominal injury.

Bouchard was facing world no.112 Lourdez Dominguez-Lino in the 3rd round. After losing the first set (6-4), Genie roared back to win the 2nd set 6-1, but eventually she had to give up when she was 0-1 down in the decider.

Genie was meant to play the Fed Cup tie for Canada the 16th of April against Slovakia, but that may not happen.

Unlucky.
