Bouchard reaches the final in Kuala Lumpur

Genie Bouchard is on her way to “redemption”.

In Kuala Lumpur, the Canadian Beauty reaches her 2nd final of the year after Hobart (d. Cornet). The semi against Naomi Broady wasn’t a match to remember with far too many unforced errors especially from the Brit side, but at the end of the day a decent performance for Genie was enough. The score was 6-4 6-3.

Genie commented “My game is always pretty aggressive, but I couldn’t exactly attack her first serve. She’s an amazing server and was serving pretty fast, she’s also very accurate with her serve. I was just trying to get the first serve back in the court.”

The final vs. Svitolina

Genie will play an always tough Svitolina in the final. Head to head is 4-0 for Svitolina that has always won tough matches against the Canadian. Genie will try to change that.
