Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are going to play each other for the 29th time in their career in the French Open semifinal. Even if Federer won their last 5 encounters, the Spanish Legend has still a positive 23-15 record against the Swiss and 13-2 on clay.

Rafa is the clear favorite to reach the final in Paris, but he knows that Roger is playing magnificent tennis.

Nadal’s strategy against Federer

Rafael made no mystery about what he expects from Federer and what he is going to do to comment

“I hope to put him in trouble, if not then I am in trouble.

No two matches the same. All the matches are different because we always try things. Let’s see what’s going on.

I will expect that he will play aggressive, going into the net, that’s my feeling that he will play that way. He is playing well and has the tennis to make it happen.

I have to be strong and not allow him to do things from good positions. I need to let him play from difficult position so from there he will have less chances to go to the net or play his aggressive game.”

The last time that Nadal and Federer played the French open was in the 2011 final when Rafa won in 4 sets 7-5 7-6 5-7 6-1.
