Gael Monfils is having a rather good 2019. The Frenchman has a solid 20-6 win-loss record this year, and he has won the prestigious ATP500 in Rotterdam.
Currently rank no.17, the Frenchman is no.9 in the Year to Date rankings, and he has a real shot at qualifying for the ATP Finals in London.
Liam Smith and Elina Svitolina a big help
Gael is currently playing the French Open where he reached the 3rd round without dropping a single set so far. When asked about the reasons for his excellent season, Gael replied
“My love life is going very, very well. But I reckon it’s probably more due to my coach than my girlfriend.”
Gael has started partnering with Liam Smith at the beginning of this year.
