Alexander Zverev believes Carlos Alcaraz already qualifies for the Hall of Fame despite losing to him in the French Open final.

Alcaraz And Zverev

After losing to Carlos Alcaraz in the French Open final, Alexander Zverev thinks the Spaniard already deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame. After winning the US Open and Wimbledon, Alcaraz captured his maiden Roland-Garros title and his third Grand Slam victory overall.

Before trailing 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, and 6-2 in four hours and 19 minutes on Court Philippe-Chatrier, the 21-year-old overcame a setdown to collect the trophy in Paris, following in the footsteps of his compatriot Rafael Nadal.

The world has been amazed by Alcaraz’s rise to the top of the men’s tennis rankings, and in his post-match remarks, Zverev stated that he believed the young player had already been admitted into the sport’s Hall of Fame based on his achievements to date.

Zverev expressed his remarks about Alcaraz and said: “Congratulations, Carlos. A third Grand Slam, 21 years old. It’s incredible. You’ve won three different ones. It’s an amazing career already; you’re already a Hall of Famer. You’ve already achieved so much, and you’re only 21 years old. Incredible player, and not the last time you’re going to win this.”

Zverev further lauded Alcaraz’s skills and said: “He played fantastic. He played better than me in the fourth and fifth sets. It’s how it is. I felt like in this Grand Slam final, I did everything I could. At the US Open, I kind of gave it away myself. It’s a bit different.”
