The partner of Newcastle goalkeeper Loris Karius, Diletta Leotta, is a well-known TV presenter on DAZN in Italy. She has disclosed the sexist abuse she has experienced throughout her career. In a F Magazine interview, Diletta recalled the terrible remarks she heard as a young child, such as the statement, “You’re only here because of your t**s.”

She was deeply distressed when she received this severe criticism while she was only 20 years old. “That evening, at home, I let out a liberating cry,” she clarified. That made me feel like a lion, and I gained a lot of knowledge. I pursued a legal degree to ensure that I would never hear remarks of that nature directed at me.” After meeting in Paris in 2022, Leotta and Karius started dating, and in August of 2023 they welcomed their daughter Aria into the world. Karius has been with Newcastle since 2022, but it is anticipated that he will go this summer.

Leotta, who resides in Milan with their daughter, has stated that Karius should sign with a Serie A team in order to be nearer to his family. “Players who come to Serie A often fall in love with Italy and stay forever,” she said to Tuttosport. That might also happen to him, in my opinion.” Considering the hardship of Newcastle’s location and the dearth of direct flights, Leotta hopes Karius can find a team in Italy.
