Djokovic Talks About The Excitement Of Playing Tennis

Novak Djokovic, the World No. 1 in tennis, is gearing up for the ATP 250 tournament in Geneva as part of his strategy to refine his form before the upcoming Roland Garros. After facing challenges executing his original plan in Rome, Djokovic seized the opportunity to participate in Geneva, recognizing the importance of gaining more match experience.

In a press conference preceding the tournament, Djokovic emphasized the significance of match play in his preparation, stating, “I feel like I need more matches…that’s the way for me to try to find that kind of form that I need for Roland-Garros.” He acknowledged the necessity of assessing his current level, especially given his limited match play since Monte-Carlo.

Furthermore, Djokovic addressed concerns about his physical and mental readiness, assuring fans that he is in good health after a recent incident in Rome where a bottle was dropped from height. Despite experiencing discomfort during a match, he received clearance from a doctor in Belgrade. “The head is good. All is well, so far. I trained for over a week and I’m feeling fine,” he stated.

As Djokovic prepares to face Yannick Hanfmann in Geneva, his focus remains on fine-tuning his game and building endurance for the grueling challenges ahead, particularly the French Open. With his sights set on achieving peak performance, Djokovic’s dedication to meticulous preparation underscores his determination to excel on the tennis court.
