Rafael Nadal seems to be playing at the 2024 French Open after he confirmed his travel plans ahead of the Paris Grand Slam.

Although he has not officially confirmed it, it is highly anticipated that the tennis star will play at Roland Garros in what will probably be his final season. Nadal, who has won the French Open an incredible fourteen times, stated before his presence at the Madrid Open last month that there are no promises he will participate.

After losing 1-6, 3-6 to Hubert Hurkacz in the Italian Open second round last week, Nadal said he was still unsure about his decision but felt inclined toward playing Roland Garros.

Nadal said earlier: “The decision, as you can imagine, is not clear in my mind today. But if I have to say what’s on my mind and if my mind is closer one way or another, I’m going to say be in Roland Garros and try my best. Physically, I have some issues, but not probably enough to say I am not playing in the most important event of my tennis career. Let’s see what’s going on and how I feel mentally tomorrow, after tomorrow, and in one week. If I feel ready, I am going to try to be there and fight for the things that I have been fighting for the last 15 years, if now seems impossible.”

According to reports, Nadal intends to train at his academy in Mallorca during the next several days before heading to Paris the following week to be ready for Roland Garros.
