INJURY. After Alcaraz, Janink Sinner also withdraws from Rome.

Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner has announced he will not play the ATP 1000 in Rome due to Carlos Alcaraz's retirement and a hip injury, which he has not recovered from.

Jannik Sinner Still Struggling With A Hip Injury

There is horrible news for the Italian fans since Jannik Sinner has also announced that he will not play the ATP 1000 in Rome following the retirement of Carlos Alcaraz. Jannik has also withdrawn from the recent tournament in Madrid because of a hip injury. Unfortunately, he has not recovered from this issue, and therefore he had to pull out of the Italian tournament. This was his message translated into English.

“It is not easy to write this message but after speaking again with the doctors and specialists about my hip problems I have to announce that unfortunately I will not be able to play in Rome. Obviously I’m very sad that I didn’t recover, it being one of my favorite tournaments ever. I couldn’t wait to come back and play at home in front of the Italian crowd . I will still come to Rome for a few days and stop by the Foro Italico.

Thank you for your messages of support which I appreciate very much! Now I will work with my team and doctors to be ready for Roland Garros. See you soon.”
