Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari keep on rising together.

The rumored couple reached the semifinals in Rome to conquer a new career high from Monday.

The Greek sensation has just reached the semifinal in Rome where he was defeated by a great Rafael Nadal to strengthen his position in the rankings. That was Stefanos’ 3rd consecutive semifinal in 3 weeks after he won the title in Estoril, he reached the final in Madrid and the semifinal in Rome.

After his latest run, the Titsipas will be ranked no.6 in the traditional rankings (career high), and he will overtake Roger Federer in the year to date rankings to be the new world no.3.

At the beginning of the season, Stefanos declared that one of his main targets was qualifying for the World Tour Finals and he is definitely on the right path to achieve that.

Maria Sakkari

Maria had a sensational run in Rome where she reached the semifinal coming straight from the qualifications before losing to Karolina Piskova 6-4 6-4. After this tournament in Italy, Maria is projected to go 10 places up in the rankings to be the new world no.29 (career high). Sakkari will also go up 17 places in the year to date rankings to be the new world no.18.
