Jelena, the wife of Novak Djokovic, recently came across an 18-year-old video clip from the player’s historic first-ever title victory.

On July 23, 2006, Djokovic won his first championship on the ATP Tour by defeating Nicolas Massu, the 2004 Olympic gold medallist from Chile in both the singles and doubles competitions in the Dutch Open final. The tour’s international series, which included the Dutch Open, changed its name to ATP Tour 250 in 2009.

With remarkable consistency, the Serb defeated players like Boris Pasanski, Tomas Zib, Marc Gicquel, and Guillermo Coria on his route to the final in Amersfoort, Netherlands. He was in his third year of a professional career and was only 19 years old at the time.

Jelena, who supported Djokovic from the stands, was with him. The video clip of her husband’s remarks was discovered by Jelena on the Instagram stories of the “Tennis Blogger” account.

She reposted the video in her story and wrote: “Oh wow… babies.”
