Paula Badosa, a WTA player and Stefanos Tsitsipas’s girlfriend, expressed her joy minutes after Rafael Nadal made his comeback on the clay court after 680 days, reflecting the emotions of all tennis fans who grew up watching the Spaniard.
Badosa wrote on X: “Goosebumps seeing Rafa again on a track. It will always remind me of my childhood.”
Although the Spaniard seems to be doing well in his first game, it is unclear if he will be able to advance and provide fans with additional opportunities to see him play.
The Spaniard is making a second attempt at a comeback in the same year. Nadal decided to return, beginning his campaign for the title against Flavio Cobolli in Barcelona, much to the delight of his adoring fan base.
