British tennis player Ben Shelton expressed his excitement about returning to the prestigious Queen’s Club ahead of Wimbledon, highlighting the significance of the tournament and reminiscing about his previous experiences on the Centre Court.
“I’m really looking forward to being back at Queen’s. It’s an historic tournament and playing on the Centre Court there was one of the coolest experiences for me,” Shelton remarked enthusiastically.
Reflecting on his debut on the grass courts of Queen’s Club last year, Shelton praised the quality of the playing surface, expressing admiration for the impeccable conditions. “I think the grass is unbelievable there. It was my first time playing on grass there last year so to win my first match – I wasn’t really expecting it,” he admitted.

Now ranked no.17, Ben played his last match on the 25th of March when he was defeated by world no.24 Lorenzo Musetti 6-4 7-6(5) in the 3rd round in Miami (draw).
Currently, during this year Shelton owns a compiled 11-7 match record. Ben Shelton’s most significant result of this season was getting to the semifinal in Auckland and Dallas.
Shelton has scheduled to compete next in Houston (US Men’s Clay Court Championship). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 1st of April.
