Novak Djokovic And Jannik Sinner Training Together At The Roland Garros

World no.1 Novak Djokovic is obviously one of the top favorites to conquer this uncharacteristic Roland Garros. The Serbian sensation hasn’t lost a single match this year with the notable exception of when he defaulted at the US Open and he has recently won the Internazionali d’Italia. Novak decided to train with an up-and-coming young gun and he chose to train with Jannik Sinner in Paris.

Novak and Jannik have a connection in Sinner’s coach, Riccardo Piatti, as the Serbian ace used to train with him in the past.

Novak Djokovic’s French Open draw

Novak had a rather good draw at the French Open to play Mikael Ymer in the opener and probably having the first “serious” test only in the semifinal against Daniil Medvedev or Stefanos Tsitsipas.

At the moment ranked no.1, the Serbian played his last match on the 21st of September when he defeated Diego Schwartzman 7-5 6-3 in the final in Rome to win his 81st career title.

Presently, this year Djokovic has a 31-1 win-loss record. The Serbian conquered 4 titles in 2020 at the Australian Open, in Dubai, in New York and in Rome.

Jannik Sinner’s French Open draw

Jannik had a horrible draw at the Roland Garros as he will face David Goffin in the 1st round. Then, in theory, he will have on his path Sascha Zverev, Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, and Novak Djokovic. Of course, Jannik would be more than happy to “just” reach the second week.
