Jannik Sinner, who played wheelchair tennis beside a legend, had a day of practice. Although he chose to share the field with Alfie Hewett, the Italian champion gets ready for his match against Australian O’Connell in the Miami Open round of 16. The legendary British player, Hewett, is ranked No. 1 in both singles and doubles wheelchair basketball. Along with Gordon Reid, he won the Grand Slam in 2021. He has won 27 tournaments in his career.
Sinner is a nice player who is always ready to assist everyone. He never misses an opportunity to welcome fans or crack jokes with other players and coaches.
Special moment on court 8 earlier today with @janniksin meeting wheelchair tennis legend @alfiehewett6 💪
The two shared a laugh, talked a bunch, and Jannik even tried some wheelchair tennis himself. #MiamiOpen pic.twitter.com/GRoNCLqGe0
