Tomic to miss IPTL to prepare 2016

Bernard Tomic is finally finding his way back in tennis.

The Australian no.1 is having solid results to currently station in the top 20 and he wants to go for more in 2016. So Bernard decided not to play the ITPL and that means giving up $200.000 for a 3 weeks’ job.

Tomic. Money will arrive

Bernard commented “I need to focus on what I need to do to get better. The money obviously is there; if you’re playing well, obviously it’s going to be coming like this. But me, I’m not too focused.

I think it’s important now in the next few tournaments to finish off as strong as I can. Then I had obviously good offers to go and play in the IPTL and this and that, but I’m not going to do it. I’m going to train as best as I can to do as best as I can in the Australian Open, because I believe with my position and seeding I can do very well.”

Bernard is now playing in Shanghai where he will face Djokovic in the quarters.
