In a recent interview, Andy Murray highlighted Jannik Sinner’s qualities again. The Italian’s diverse growth over recent months, marked by numerous significant and rewarding wins, delighted the British tennis star.

The 36-year-old, who is going through a difficult time in his career, acknowledged that the Italian star might be one of the heavy favorites at the upcoming Wimbledon.

Murray expressed his remarks about Sinner and said: “Moving on the grass courts is a little different, but how he hits the ball makes me think he can do very, very well. I watched the final in Australia, and he did well to come back and win that match from the position he was in. It was a big effort. Medvedev was a little tired at the end; he had played a lot in those two weeks. Jannik was looking for his shots at the beginning; he was very solid mentally and followed his game plan. After winning the first Slam, I’m sure he will win others.”

He further added: “The feeling is that it takes some time to create this new situation. I’m not saying it’s not possible that Alcaraz, Sinner, or some of the younger guys could dominate and put themselves at the top of tennis for five, six, or seven years in a row. It takes time to get there. It doesn’t happen from one tournament to the next. But I think it’s a possibility, especially with Sinner and Alcaraz.”
