Yannick Noah is the new Davis Cup captain for France

The French Federation couldn’t choose a more controversial character to lead their Davis Cup team.

Arnaud Clement was fired last week following a disappointing Davis Cup campaign in 2015 as they lost in the quarters against Great Britain 3-1 (guess who won the 3 points for GB?).

The choice for the next captain went on Yannick Noah that has won the Davis Cup in 1991 and 1996, so he knows 2/3 things about this tournament.

According to the French Federation, the tennis legend will lead the team for 2016 …. then…. we will see.

Arnaud commented ”I think some players asked for a change. But a vast majority of players supported me and I believe they would have been happy to continue with me next year.”

DEFINITELY A CHARACTER!!!
