Fish plays his last match… in style

Time to move on for Mardy Fish.

The former American no.1 gave it all in his last match against Feliciano Lopez to lose 2-6, 6-3, 1-6, 7-5, 6-3.

Mardy did everything he could, but eventually the legs couldn’t support him anymore as he was a bit short of training “I worked as hard as I could. That was all I had.”

Fish has been struggling for some time with an accelerate heartbeat that made things quite difficult (and dangerous) for him.  Talking about his problem he commented “It’s always going to be a part of your life. but you can put yourself right back in the fire and come through O.K. I think I showed that here.”

Mardy reached a world no.7 career high and he has won 6 career titles (5 in the USA) and he has reached 14 finals.

Good luck!!!
