Great stuff for Andy Murray that has managed to be back to world no.2 after a couple of years (last time it was in August 2013).
Andy achieved this feat after winning the Rogers Cup in Montreal. This isa very important move for the Scott that if he keeps the spot (and he will) he will definitely avoid playing Djokovic at the US Open before an hypothetical final.
Rafa didn’t have a smashing tournament in Montreal, but reaching the quarters was good enough for him to gain 1 place in the rankings. Now he is no.8.
Jack is now the American no.1 as he gained 5 places after reaching the 3rd round in Montreal. Sock is now world 30.
“Bad Boy” Nick Kyrgios gains 4 places to be now world no.37, but after all the controversy he shouldn’t be a happy guy.
