Kyrgios faces a 3 years ban

Finally the ATP World Tour opens an investigation after Kyrgios’ horrible remark against Wawrinka and his girlfriend Donna Vekic.

The Australian was hoping that everything was settled with paying a (very low) $10,000 fine, but that apparently will not be enough. “I’ve been fined, it’s all been put to bed,” Kyrgios said “no, I don’t think there should be [more sanctions].”. The guy may be wrong.

Why he faces a 3 years ban threat

Kyrgios has been served with a notice of investigation from the ATP. That means that the Australian will be fined of $2,500 for Unsportsmanlike Conduct and even worst (or better), if found guilty of  “Aggravated Behavior” or “Conduct Contrary to the Integrity of the Game” he can be fined of up to $100,000 and he can be suspended for up to 3 years according to the ATP Book Rule. (see below)

3 years may be a lot, but a 1 year suspension would do. Tennis is a great sport and there is no space for things like that that may tarnish the reputation of our beloved sport.

If you think that Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Ferrer etc are too nice… well… think again.
