Following his defeat at the hands of world No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the ATP Finals, Jannik Sinner expressed his readiness to move past the loss and focus on the upcoming Davis Cup Finals. Sinner acknowledged the weariness that accompanies the end-of-season matches, both physically and mentally, but affirmed his preparedness to compete at his best.

“In the end of the season, every player is a bit tired, physically and mentally,” Sinner commented. “It has been a long season for all of us. Every week presents new challenges. I feel physically ready to give my 100% in the Davis Cup.”

Acknowledging Sinner’s recent exceptional form and acknowledging the fatigue from his intense matches in Turin, Griekspoor anticipates a demanding clash but remains optimistic about his chances against the formidable Italian player.

“This week holds immense importance for us,” Sinner emphasized. “What happened last week doesn’t matter here. It’s a fresh start in a team event, and I’m thrilled to join the Italian team. We have a strong team and multiple options to field. We’ll give our best and see the outcome.”

The Italian team’s strength lies not only in Sinner’s exceptional form but also in the collective prowess of Sonego and Musetti, who have each claimed singles victories over Djokovic, a unique advantage in the tournament.
