Jannik Sinner, who will be joining two of his fellow young players at the season-ending ATP Finals in Turin, Italy, is excited to witness the progress of his fellow youngsters on tour this year.

In addition to Sinner, two other players have qualified for the tournament: Carlos Alcaraz and Holger Rune. After competing as an alternate in 2021, Sinner will be attending the tournament for the second time.

Carlos Alcaraz, the top-ranked player in the world going into last year’s competition, had to withdraw because of a late injury. Rune, meanwhile, will be making his first appearance after participating as the first alternate in the 2022 edition.

Speaking at the Nitto ATP Finals, Sinner expressed his excitement about the prospect of teaming up with the pair, remarking that it was good for tennis to see young players make such progress. The Italian expressed pride in the rivalry he has developed with Rune and Alcaraz and stated excitement about playing on the court with them the following week.

Sinner expressed his remarks about the youngsters joining him in the ATP Finals: “It’s nice, I think, for the sport, to see the young players coming through. It’s really nice to be part of this rivalry, because it is kind of a rivalry and hopefully we can all show some good moments and a good level. We’re looking forward to it.”
