Nick Kyrgios ready to work in a TV commentary panel covering ATP Finals

Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios' 2023 season has been a complete failure, but he will soon be back on the court as a member of the TV commentary team covering the ATP Finals.

Nick Kyrgios Injury Prolongs

The 2023 season has been a complete disaster for Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios, but he will soon be back on the court as part of a TV commentary team covering the ATP Finals.

After knee surgery kept him out of the Australian Open, Kyrgios only played one match in 2023. When he lost his only match of the year in Stuttgart in straight sets, a wrist injury ruined his hopes of returning to Wimbledon and making a run at the US Open.

Rumors are circulating that the controversial star is close to retiring from the sport because he hasn’t been spotted on the court in a while.

According to some reports, Kyrgios may participate in the December Ultimate Tennis Showdown as he gets ready to play in the Australian Open in January. The outspoken Australian confirmed on Tuesday that he will cover the ATP Finals in Turin later this month for The Tennis Channel as a guest commentator and analyst.

The statement recently came from the relevant channel and read: “Nick Kyrgios, whose electric style of play and straight-to-the-point conversational approach has endeared him to millions of fans around the world, is joining Tennis Channel as an analyst during its coverage of the ATP Finals on November 12–19.”

Despite saying he misses the game and that he is working to get back as soon as possible, Kyrgios has only played one match in 2023, so it seems unlikely that fans will see him compete in the Australian Open.

Kyrigos wrote on Instagram after withdrawing from the US Open: “To my millions of fans out there, I guess we just have to be patient. Trust me, I still have some fire left in the tank; my body just needs time to recover and get back. I’m still as motivated as ever, in the gym, treatment, and recovery. Everything off-court is going great. I am hoping to come back and have a season like my last.”
