Bouchard. Haters are part of my job

Genie Bouchard had an absolutely dreadful season so far.

The young Canadian started the 2015 as world no.6; she hired renowned coach Sumyk to go for more, but things got dramatically sideways.

Genie has now a terrible 8-12 win/loss record in 2015 and she has crashed out in the opener 8 tournaments.

Bouchard is now ranked no. 26 and in the year to date rankings she is only 47. That means that her chances to qualify for the season finale in Singapore are really slim unless she has an amazing second part of the season (why not?).

From Bouchard

Genie appeared with Milos Raonic during a recent event in Toronto to comment “It’s been interesting for me to see how when I started doing well, how everyone jumped on the bandwagon or whatever, building me up so much. And then to see how they would break you down so much as well, so it’s just how the media is, to always have a story and things like that. I just separate myself from that.

I know what I do and I know what I believe in. It’s hard not to hear it or see it, but (I try) to just kind of give it some distance and not really worry about it.”

Then she added “I’m definitely hard on myself so if I do have a bad loss, I’m like ‘Well, I completely deserve this.’ You know what I mean?

But there definitely are some harsher critics than others and so-called haters and things like that. But I think it’s all part of the job so you know, bring it on.”

LIFE SHOULD BE DIFFICULT FOR HATERS
