Hewitt, Groth put Australia back on track

Lleyton Hewitt and Sam Groth put their hearth in the doubles against Kazakhstan. The Australian team was 0-2 down after Kyrgios and Kokkinakis lost their singles and the Aussies needed a great performance in doubles.

Eventually Hewitt and Groth won 6-4 7-6 (4) 6-2. “We knew what we had to do and, as I said on Thursday, I’ve been preparing for this match for quite a while,” Hewitt commented “It was, obviously, tough circumstances after yesterday for everyone to try and stay positive and believe we can get back into this tie. Grothy and I knew what we were capable of doing and we came out and played pretty faultless tennis.”

Now Australia is 2-1 and it is not clear who is going to play singles. Hewitt said that everybody could play the singles and at this point it seems plausible that Llyton and also Groth will play the last 2 especially after Kyrgios declared not to be ready.
