Kyrgios, Kokkinakis in Davis Cup disaster

Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis were looking forward to creating history for Australia in Darwin.

The youngsters were selected to play singles in the quarters against Kazakhstan, but things went dramatically south.

Kokkinakis lost 6-4 6-3 6-3 to  Kazakhstan No.1 Mikhail Kukushkin and then Kyrgios lost a terrible match against world No. 115 Aleksandr Nedovyesov 7-6 (5) 6-7 (2) 7-6 (5) 6-4.

Worst of all Kyrgios had a rather “lazy” performance. It seemed as he just didn’t want to be on court.

After Bernard Tomic’s arrest in Miami, we can say that the lasts 24 hours have been rather miserable for Tennis Australia.
