On October 20, 2023, the Battersea Power Station in London saw the grand opening of the new Porsche NOW brand store, and the star guest for the event was none other than Emma Raducanu. The 20-year-old tennis sensation, who made waves by winning the 2021 US Open, took the stage to share her enthusiasm for Porsche, motorsport, and her tennis journey.

Emma Raducanu’s day began with tennis training at the nearby National Tennis Centre, where she is preparing for her return to the WTA Tour in 2024. In the evening, the Porsche Brand Ambassador graced the opening of the Porsche NOW brand store in London’s Battersea Power Station. During her appearance, she captivated the audience with her inspiring story of rising through the tennis ranks and her deep-seated love for motorsport.

Raducanu opened up about her early dreams and the influences that guided her toward sporting success. She fondly recalled her admiration for Porsche sports cars, attributing it to one of her first coaches who used to arrive at training in a Porsche 911. Being a Porsche Brand Ambassador, Raducanu has gained a deeper understanding of the company, particularly its commitment to innovation, technology, and sustainability. She was genuinely impressed by what she saw at the Porsche NOW store and its diverse appeal.

Porsche NOW, situated on the Ground Floor in Turbine Hall A, aims to introduce the excitement and allure of the Stuttgart sports car brand to urban audiences in a fresh and engaging way. It offers visitors an insight into the original dream of Porsche’s founder, Ferry Porsche, who aspired to create the perfect sports car. The store embodies the company’s philosophy of encouraging dreams to help individuals achieve their ambitions.

Inside the store, a dedicated space features live painting by selected artists, adding an artistic touch to the Porsche experience. A gallery showcases local art, and the store plans to engage local schools and colleges, educating students about sustainability and career opportunities as apprentice technicians. Porsche NOW will also host special evenings dedicated to motorsport, design, and well-being, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.

Emma Raducanu didn’t shy away from discussing the challenges she faces as a tennis player. She spoke about her sources of motivation, emphasizing her commitment to continuous improvement. While she has achieved her childhood dreams of winning Grand Slams and playing at Wimbledon, she is now setting new goals in her tennis career.
