Coco Gauff’s winning streak came to an end in Beijing against Iga Swiatek when she was unable to perform at her highest level in the semi-final of the China Open competition, WTA 1000, owing to a right shoulder injury.

When asked to comment about some negative remarks on Iga’s season, Coco replied: “I’ve seen several people’s comments. Some think hers isn’t a good season. But she won a Slam at Roland Garros and was often number one. I would dream of a season like the one Swiatek had this year year.”
