Carlos Alcaraz is very confident going into the 2023 Shanghai Masters although his 2023 China Open campaign may not have ended on the ideal note. Alcaraz was a strong fit, especially in light of how China’s events have developed.
The Spaniard was defeated by Jannik Sinner in Beijing, ending his run without a trophy, but he was pleased with the level of play he showed and is confidently heading to Shanghai.
Alcaraz expressed his remarks after being welcomed in Shanghai by fans and said: “Well, I really enjoy playing here in Beijing. I think my level was really, really high. I felt really comfortable. Whether it is my first trip to China, I feel like I’ve been playing here for many years. The fans were great, as well. I really felt really comfortable on this court. It was a great tournament for me.”
