Naomi Osaka is a happy person right now.

After struggling so much soon after her Australian Open title, it seems that the Japanese is finding her way back also with her confidence.

The world no.1 had a strong training block in April with her coach Jermaine Jenkins to get ready for her least favorite surface: the clay.

Eventually, the Japanese impressed after she won 3 consecutive matches in the dirt (2 in Stuttgart and the opener in Madrid) to remain one of the top favorites in Madrid.

Soon after her successful match in Madrid, Naomi commented

“I feel like there’s, like, an adjustment period for me and it took a few years. But now I’m more comfortable on clay. I’m not sure if it’s because I had a really long training block before I came to start the season, but yeah, it feels good.”
