Zverev unhappy with Djokovic for Kermode’s ousting

Sascha was pretty vocal in Munich to vent his disagreement with the ousting of Chris Kermode as CEO and Chairman of the ATP

Zverev and Djokovic

Alexander Zverev is well known for being rather straightforward during his interviews, and he definitely lived up with his fame in Munich.

The German was extremely open about the reasons of his recent struggles to also call out Novak Djokovic for something that made many players raise some doubts: the ousting of Chris Kermode as CEO and Chairman of the ATP that will end his mandate at the end of the year.

According to many, Kermode was very successful during his tenure, but according to some in the council, he didn’t manage to remain neutral when dealing with the tournaments.

Roger Federer has already expressed rather publicly his disagreement with the ousting, and it was time for Sascha to give his opinion.

What is Djokovic plan?

Sascha commented

“Novak has been part of the tour for several years. He is the best player, number one in the world.

Us, as players, want to look at what’s your plan, Novak? Because Chris Kermode has already done a lot of good things for us, he increased the prize money, added new events to the calendar that pay us well.

The tour didn’t get worse with him.”
