Bouchard gets injured!

Some more horrible news from Genie Bouchard that had to retire from Eastbourne few days before plying in Wimbledon.

Genie was playing in Eastbourne against Belinda Bencic and she had to retire when she was 6-3 3-0 down citing adnominal pain.

Bouchard. I will play on 1 leg

Genie said she will do everything she can to play the Championships to comment “I don’t know at this point but I was feeling it during the match. It just wasn’t smart for me to take a risk and, you know, potentially be out for a long time. It’s something I want to kind of take care of right away.

I’m going to play no matter what, even if I’m on one leg. I will take a few days off from serving and give it a little break and see how it goes. Considering next week is such an important event, everyone prepares as best they can, so that’s what I’m trying to do as well.”

Genie is the 2014 Wimbledon runner-up and she will be seeded no.12 this year.

STILL LOTS OF MISERY FOR GENIE
