What a nightmare for Genie Bouchard!
The Canadian Beauty was in the top 10 at the beginning of the year to aspire to even more, but things went south… “deep south”.
Genie has lost 8 of the last 9 matches and in Birmingham she has crashed out in the very first match of a tournament for the 7th time.
I do not know what happened in the 3rd set …
After losing to Mladenovic in Birmingham (6-3 4-6 6-0)she confessed “I was trying to be more aggressive than I’ve been in the past, so I felt I did that okay in the first and second set. Then I don’t know what happened in the third.”
… it’s not happening…
The she added “I could use every negative adjective you can think of. It is just not happening.”
… I do not know what we are going to do
“I’m losing first round every week, so I have a whole week to prepare. It’s a pretty tiring routine. I mean, I don’t know what we’re going to work on. Hopefully stuff that helps me get better.”
