According to Stefanos Tsitsipas, Roger Federer had a bigger impact on tennis than Novak Djokovic, who is considered the best tennis player of all time based on his accomplishments.

With 24 major titles under his belt, Djokovic is once again at the top of the ATP rankings. Djokovic won the US Open, giving him three grand slam titles this year after each victory against a considerably younger opponent in the final.

Recently, in an interview, Tsitsipas stated that the debate over who is tennis’ greatest player and GOAT is complex and multi-layered. The Greek athlete responded that he was in wonder at Djokovic’s determination to win because he had nothing left to prove when asked about the Serbian’s accomplishments.

Tsitsipas stated his remarks about Djokovic and said: “If we go by the numbers, Novak Djokovic is definitely the best. He breaks one record after another. And he keeps the thirst, while he has nothing left to prove. That’s his character. He’s never happy. It’s like he’s always trying to prove something to someone. I don’t know what and to whom. It’s like he wants revenge. His eye shines.”

Likewise, Tsitsipas expressed his thoughts about Roger Federer and said: “If the criteria is who has inspired the world the most and who has had the biggest impact, it’s definitely Federer, by a wide margin. I don’t think there will be anyone else who can match him.”
