Rafael Nadal and Fabio Fognini are going to clash in the semifinals of the Monte Carlo Masters Championship 2019.

The world no. 2 seems to be in an ominous form and has advanced to the semifinals without losing a set in the tournament. He defeated Roberto Bautista Agut 6-1 6-1, Grigor Dimitrov 6-4 6-1, and Guido Pella 7-6 6-3 to advance to the semifinals. With his current form, he seems all set to win his 12th Monte Carlo Masters tournament.
Fabio Fognini
The Italian just survived against Russian Qualifier Andrey Rublev 4-6 7-5 6-4 in the first round. It was easy in the 2nd round for Fognini as he received a walkover against Gilles Simon. Fognini played hard to defeat Sascha Zverev 7-6 6-1 and Borna Coric 6-1 3-6 2-6. His next challenge will be the hardest against the second seed Nadal and he will need to produce his best tennis against the Spaniard to move ahead in the tournament.
