The world no.1 had an incredible run over the last 13 months when she won Indian Wells, the US Open and the Australian Open. The Japanese is collecting endorsements from all over the world, and she appears all over the media.

Naomi has been selected among the world’s 100 Most Influential People of 2019 on  Wednesday by Time magazine in the “pioneers” category.

Naomi as a globalized figure

18-time grand slam champion Chris Evert n a brief commentary for the magazine commented

“Rookie Grand Slam tournament champs often fall short at their next major. All Naomi Osaka did was conquer the world again.

No one represents our more globalized, multicultural future better than this honest, polite, self-deprecating tennis life force, a potential champion for years to come.”

Naomi is getting ready to play her first tournament on clay next week in Stuttgart. In the meantime, she has “officialized” her new boyfriend YBN Cordae with a recent post on Instagram.
